MEET CRISTE
I am a wife, mother, former teacher, and community organizer. I love good coffee, campfires, gardening, and treasure the rare occasion when I can get all three children home at the same time for a family meal. My family is my rock, they are my biggest supporters and my most proud accomplishment. We enjoy spending time together regardless of where we are, whether that be outdoors, at a sporting event, or just sitting around the living room. Laughter follows no matter where we go.
I was raised in Saratoga Wisconsin where I spent summer breaks playing with my brothers and neighborhood friends in the 10-mile creek just a short jaunt through the backwoods. My family enjoyed camping and we often spent a great deal of time on the banks of the Wisconsin River boating and skiing. I attended and graduated school in the nearby Nekoosa School District and later moved on to attend UW Oshkosh and UW Steven Point to earn my teaching degree in Special Education and eventually my Master's Degree from St Mary's University. I worked as an educator for over 20 years, leaving the profession on a full-time basis in 2019.
During the early years of my career, I met my future husband and started our family. Our search for the perfect home to raise children brought us back to the town of Saratoga and ironically back to the same banks of the 10-mile creek. It was a dream come true to find a home that would allow our children to have the same fun and adventures on the banks of the creek as I did as a kid.
While the kids were young I was the typical "Team Mom" for a variety of sports teams. I believe in giving back to the community and volunteered my time as a girl scout leader, board member for a local youth tackle football organization, served on the leadership team for a variety of clean water and environmental community groups, and now also open my home to foster animals from the South Wood County Humane Society. Life is never dull around here!
Central Wisconsin has always been my home, and it would be an honor to serve the community that has given my family and I so much.
